Darrin Hill is an advertising executive in New York City who has built his life on a lie. He told everyone that he was a college graduate, and when the truth of the matter comes out, he loses his job. This couldn't come at a worse time, since he was just on the verge of a big deal that would have given him enough money to may off the money lenders breathing down his neck. Darrin runs away to his hometown, where his great aunt has recently died. He learns that he stands to inherit a small fortune, but he can only collect if he agrees to take leadership of the struggling church choir and lead the singers to victory in a major singing competition. |
