Overview
Fergus, a member of the IRA, meets Jody when he is taken prisoner for political reasons. Jody is killed in an unfortunate accident after Fergus sets him free from a certain execution. During their brief but powerful friendship, Jody had asked Fergus to go to his home town and take care of his girlfriend, Dil. Fergus takes this vow seriously and finds Dil working as a hairdresser and as a chanteuse in a bar. He develops romantic feelings towards her and they go to Dil's apartment for sex. However, not all is as it first appeared. Fergus discovers that Dil, who looks like a woman, is actually male. This causes him to vomit. Eventually, love for her conquers his disgust, and the pair team up together against IRA members who have come to assassinate Fergus.
