When his abusive father returns to make a mess out of his life, pre-teen troublemaker Huck Finn decides the time has come to hightail it out of town. He's used to managing for himself, so he isn't too worried, but he ends up embarking upon an epic river journey with Jim, a slave at the estate of the home where Huck's been living. Jim is a devoted friend to Huck, and they grow extremely close in the course of their journey. They meet up with several eccentric characters and escape many dangerous situations, but the real test for Huck comes when they meet up with his old friend Tom Sawyer and Jim returns to slavery. What is Huck willing to risk to liberate his friend? |
