Moving to a small town, Dr. Ross Jennings is initially welcomed into the community's arms. He has been specially selected to replace retiring town doctor, Sam Metcalf. With only one patient, that is extremely healthy, Dr. Jennings finds that Dr. Metcalf does not want to retire just yet. A nature photographer, native to the town, has recently died in the Amazon from a mysterious fever. As his body is prepared, a foreign spider makes its way into the town. Finding a dark and undisturbed space in Dr. Jennings's barn, this spider quickly reproduces. The townspeople suddenly start dying and appear shriveled, much like the deceased nature photographer. As Dr. Jennings explores each person's death, he finds that deadly spiders are invading the town faster than they can eradicate them. |
