Overview
Roger loves two things, his father and the California Angels baseball team. Neither are doing well. His out-of-work dad has placed him in foster care. The Angels are in a terrible slump. When Roger asks his dad if they'll ever be able to live together again, the sarcastic answer is "Maybe when the Angels win the pennant." Roger believes such a "miracle" could happen and immediately begins praying for it. His prayer is heard and surprisingly answered at the next home game, when he sees heavenly messengers helping the lackluster ball club. It seems that the worst players have now become some of the best. As the team's manager, owner and fans learn of the celestial intervention, things begin to turn around for both the team and for Roger.
