Overview
Follow the steps of Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins' amazing 1968 expedition to Patagonia. As Jeff Johnson re-creates their legendary trip, he is stranded on Easter Island when his ship is damaged. Later, Jeff surfs incredible waves and tries for the summit of Cerro Corcovado. After missing the summit by only 200 feet, Jeff meets his heroes, Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins, who are the inspiration for this journey. The focus quickly shifts from surfing and climbing to the beauty of nature and the importance of conservation.
