Overview
Charlie is a dog who loves the free and easy life. He and his best friend Itchy look after themselves and have few worries. However, they have dealings with gangsters, and one day, that creates a major problem as the notorious gangster Carface has Charlie killed. Charlie arrives in Heaven but quickly escapes, eager to return to the unpredictability of Earth. Charlie reunites with Itchy, and they steal Carface's secret weapon, a girl named Anne-Marie who can talk to animals. While Carface just uses her to win at the racetrack, Charlie grows attached to her and begins to plot a way to get her a family. He may have to sacrifice for the first time in his life, earning that spot in Heaven after all.
