Overview
Tommy Jarvis has been institutionalized for years after killing serial murderer Jason Voorhees when he was 12 years old. Still haunted by his encounter with the madman, Tommy decides to escape the institution in order to cremate Jason’s body and guarantee that he is gone for good. In the process, however, Tommy accidentally resurrects Jason when a bolt of lightning hits the corpse. Tommy flees the cemetery and warns the local sheriff that Jason is alive and killing again, but the sheriff, knowing that Tommy is an escaped mental patient, is skeptical. Meanwhile, Jason makes his way back to Camp Crystal Lake, just in time for the new camp counselors to arrive. As the bodies pile up, Tommy is implicated in the murders and locked up. Will Jason continue on his murderous spree or will Tommy be able to stop him despite his unfortunate circumstances?
