Elderly dog Shadow, young dog Chance and ornery cat Sassy are stranded at the San Francisco International Airport and decide to make a break for it and go home. They have previously undertaken a long journey home together, but that was mostly out in the country, and this is in the big city, where all sorts of new challenges await them. Chance, whose trouble-making tendencies had previously led him to yearn for a life of freedom where nobody would be around to yell at him, has since embraced life as a pet. However, he is particularly distracted by a tough street dog named Delilah. She has been burned many times; can he convince her to go home with him, or must he stay with her? |
