Overview
In 1917, at the height of World War 1, three children working as shepherds in Fatima, Portugal are visited by the spirit of The Virgin Mary, also known as the Blessed Mother, who tells them divine secrets. Although their families doubt what they claimed to have seen with their own eyes, their experience with the apparition causes thousands of religious groups to flock to the area in hopes of witnessing this miracle themselves. But the government in their country, as well as the Catholic church there, becomes angered by the children's claims, so they try to pressure them into recanting their story about what was later called the Miracle of the Sun.
