Overview
Sanctuary is a Swedish psychological thriller series that tells the story of Helene, a woman who travels to visit her sister in a psychiatric hospital high in the Alps, only to have her sister swap places with her and leave her trapped. The facility isn't the bucolic rest home it seems, as it's actually dedicated to the study of psychopaths who all have their own motivations. In addition, the sanatorium's director is a manipulative sociopath himself, and he finds special interest in breaking down Helene's fragile identity.
