Overview
Freddie Quell has seen a lot of atrocities. A recent Navy veteran of World War II, he struggles to lead a normal life. After many emotional collapses, he finds solace in a religious organization that gives purpose to his existence. As he becomes enmeshed in what seems to be a cult, he rises to the rank of “The Master.” The cult grows large, with a very dedicated following but trouble begins when his most trusted underling starts to question Freddie and his beliefs.
